How Each Step Built the Result
Why: to work separately on the area where buildup was densest and to even out its texture.
What happens in the skin: the tip removes the compacted layer of corneocytes in the zone of heaviest buildup. The texture of the T-zone becomes more even, and the pores look less pronounced.
Microdermabrasion of the T-Zone
Why: to even out the surface uniformly, deliver deeper cleansing, and support the skin's hydration.
What happens in the skin: the technology works through three actions at once. The diamond surface of the tip lifts the softened corneocytes from the stratum corneum; the serum keeps the surface moist and provides glide, making the exfoliation gentler; at the same time, the vacuum lifts away the removed material and softened sebum, so they aren't redistributed across the face.
Why: the SonoSilk ultrasonic scrubber was used to facilitate extractions, with particular attention to the areas of densest pore congestion.
What happens in the skin: SonoSilk works at 28,000 vibrations per second across a moistened surface. The ultrasonic vibrations help loosen the softened pore contents and move them closer to the surface, making the clearing more controlled and more gentle. The built-in 430 nm blue light runs throughout the step.
Why: to prepare and soften the skin's surface ahead of the device steps, making exfoliation and extractions more controlled and more gentle.
What happens in the skin: the first cleanse lifts the surface film — SPF, makeup, and sebum residue; the second works directly on the stratum corneum. Steam raises the water content in the upper layers: corneocytes swell, and the dense contents of the pore openings become more pliable. Enzymes loosen the protein bonds between dead corneocytes without abrasion. The result is a softened stratum corneum and prepared pores.
Why: to set the result with a supportive finishing layer.
What happens in the skin: the finishing product forms a layer over the stratum corneum, holds the moisture gained in the previous steps, and preserves a smooth feel to the surface after the session.
Why: placed immediately after extractions, as the close of the active phase of pore work and ahead of the finishing steps.
What happens in the skin: high-frequency energy activates the gas inside the Zemits AknoEvit electrode, creating a localized ozone effect at the skin's surface. This step helps condition the freshly cleared area and support a cleaner, calmer look to the skin before moving into the cold phase of the protocol.
Why: to close the protocol with a touch-free serum application over the already-prepared surface.
What happens in the skin: the stream breaks the serum into fine droplets that settle in an even layer across the entire prepared surface. Hyaluronic acid in LuminOxy PRO holds water in the stratum corneum, glycolic acid supports more even light reflection, and the peptide supports a firmer-looking surface.
Why: to close the mechanical part of the protocol with a comfortable step and prepare the skin for the finishing serum application.
What happens in the skin: controlled cold works at the level of the stratum corneum. The conductive gel provides even contact with the handpiece and smooth glide, while the peptides and aloe in the formula support surface comfort. The skin looks calmer and more refined, and the pores look less pronounced.
