The Hair Growth Cycle: Why Visible Progress Follows a Timeline

The hair follicle is a dynamic structure that constantly transitions between different phases of activity.

The visible hair shaft is formed inside the follicle: in its lower portion, matrix cells participate in forming the new hair, while the dermal papilla is an important part of the follicle's regulatory system.

The cycle itself consists of four main phases:

Anagen

the active phase, during which the follicle forms the hair shaft.

Catagen

a brief period of regression and transition.

Telogen
